The scope of this project was to look at ways to use existing and near-future vertical farming techniques to grow textiles using the root structure of native plants.

During my research, I explored several different growing methods and various types of root structures to determine the best results.

Clothing and Feeding people are one of the largest contributors to climate change and the focus of this project was to find ways to reduce fast fashion’s environmental damage and bring awareness to the impacts fashion and farming have on all of us.
